Objectives of the Foundation

The objectives of the Foundation are as follows:

I) enhancement of awareness and national identity within the area of the economic activity of the Polish State and Society;
2) dissemination of historical knowledge of economic development and economic activity of the State Treasury of the Second Republic of Poland over 1918-1939;
3) consolidation and dissemination of historical knowledge of the activities of the independence underground during World War II and the Warsaw Uprising, with particular focus on the activities of group PWB/17/S and the Home Army group "Agaton", established by the employees of the Founder;
4) activities with respect to commemoration of historical events, places and persons in the history of battles and martyrdom of the Polish Nation, both at home and abroad over the period between 8th November 1917 and 31st July 1990;
5) consolidation and dissemination of historical knowledge of the activities of the anti-communist independence underground and soldiers, the so-called resistance II and commemoration of the victims of the communist regime;
6) dissemination of contemporary economic knowledge about the role and principles of operation of the State Treasury companies in the modelling of the economic policy of the Polish State, with particular focus on the Founder's role in emission tasks with respect to the national currency;
7) popularization of knowledge about safety of circulation of documents of public importance and innovation of documents generated in a teleinformation environments, as well as the principles of development and functioning of e-administration;
8) maintenance and dissemination of national tradition, promotion of the Polish national identity and enhancement of national awareness;
9) activities supporting the technical development, also development of innovation and inventiveness as well as dissemination and implementation of new technical solutions into economic practice; actions in favour of science, education, including university education;
10) actions in favour of culture, arts, protection of cultural property and national heritage;
11) actions in favour of public security and order;
12) actions in favour of the country's defences and operation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland;
13) actions in favour of rescue and protection of the population;
14) support to victims of disasters, natural disasters, armed conflicts and wars at home and abroad;
15) promotion of the Republic of Poland abroad.

The objectives of the Foundation are achieved through:

1) organisation or joint organisation of meetings, symposiums, conferences and other events with respect to implementation of the Foundation objectives;
2) financial and organisational support for publishing and educational activities, including the Internet, with respect to the implementation of the Foundation objectives;
3) financial and organisational support for educational programmes for children and school children with respect to the implementation of the Foundation objectives;
4) financial and organisational support for the operation of technical universities and R&D units with respect to the implementation of the Foundation objectives;
5) financial and organisational support for operation of Polish organisations abroad with respect to the implementation of the Foundation objectives;
6) financial and organisational support for operation of charity organisations with respect to the implementation of the Foundation objectives;
7) financial and organisational support for cultural and artistic events associated with the implementation of the Foundation objectives;
8) promotion of citizenship among the Founder's employees and counterparts.

With respect to the implementation of the Foundation objectives:

1) The Foundation sets up temporary or permanent cooperation with social organisations, educational facilities, local government bodies and public legal persons and organisational units, Polish overseas organisations, ensuring organisational, financial or in kind support of the activities by these partners with respect to programmes executed by them in conjunction with the implementation of the Foundation objectives;
2) The Foundation arranges or jointly arranges or supports financially or in kind the events which are focused on the implementation of the Foundation objectives;
3) The Foundation subsidizes the publishing and educational activities, the Internet included, with respect to publications related to the implementation of the Foundation objectives;
4) The Foundation funds or co-funds prizes in quizzes for children and schoolchildren within the scope of implementation of the Foundation objectives;
5) When invited by educational facilities the Foundation delivers courses and training within the scope related to the implementation of the Foundation objectives,
6) The Foundation promotes voluntary service as a form of social activity, particularly among the Founder's employees and counterparts.

When implementing its statutory objectives the Foundation cannot run business.

While implementing its objectives in cooperation with partners specified in part 3, point 1 above, the Foundation cannot fund nor co-fund any overhead costs nor the partners' remuneration.
